The Colombian Coffee  region, also called the “Coffee Triangle”, is in the Central-Western part of Colombia. There are several departments linked to this region, but mainly Caldas, Quindío and Risaralda. These departments are part of the Andean Region. Antioquia is located to the north, Chocó to the west, Cundinamarca to the east and finally Valle del Cauca and Tolima to the south. This region has many climates and thermal floors, ranging from -8° (snow covered mountains) to 29° °C (plateau areas), the perfect conditions to grow delicious coffee. We can find there many mountains, a bamboo forest, hot springs, and even a national park called “Los Nevados” (our snowy mountains) that encases a volcanic complex.

Nouns can be people, places, things and ideas. But, thay can be of two different types: Concrete and abstract. The most important thing about a concrete noun is that it has a "physical" manifestation: this means you can touch, taste or smell them.  For example: Food, that you can taste, like a donut: 🍩. Animals, that you can touch, like a monkey: 🐒. Plants or flowers, that you can smell, like a palm tree or a sunflower:🌴🌻. The abstract nouns are the opposite of the concrete nouns, because you can't "see" or "touch" them, but they definitely exist.  For example: Emotions, like sadness: 😭. Ideas, like world peace: ☮. Feelings, like love:💘. I found this video and I think it is super helpful: If you don't know whether a noun is concrete or abstract, you can ask yourself: Can I smell, touch or see it?   If the answer is no, it is an abstract noun!  If the answer is yes, it is a concrete noun!

  Abortion is a difficult topic to talk about, it is often on the news. There are many disagreements about it, and it is important to listen and understand each other. One day, I had to remind a friend to listen before speaking, because she was very passionate. She met a person that planned to have an abortion, and my friend was very mad. But this person explained she was too young to have a kid. She also didn’t have a lot of money because her family was very poor. Even if I could agree or disagree with her decision to have an abortion, the reality is that the kid was going to have a very difficult life. I could only think about my kids, and how much I struggle and work to give them a good life. I worry about their health, grades and feelings. I live them very much. If this person was unwilling to do all that for her kid, I could think that kid is better off not existing. Even if PROFAMILIA exists, many people never adopt, and for that reason those kids almost never experience a lo

 

Governments can work in many ways: They can be a democracy, like for example Colombia. In a democracy, people can choose anyone to rule the country, and the one that has more votes, gets elected and makes decisions for everyone. 🙌 They can be a dictatorship, for example a country like North Korea. There, you can’t travel outside the country, and basically the dictator chooses everything the people have to do, and people can’t disobey or elect someone different. They make every choice until they die, or when people start revolutions and demand a different type of government. 🙇 They can be a monarchy, or more like constitutional monarchies, like the United Kingdom and Sweden. These countries used to be monarchies, so the people that ruled them were from specific families, but they are not the rulers anymore. People choose their presidents or parliament, and the monarchs are still kings and queens, but they don’t create or enforce laws. 💂

 Sometimes, people make mistakes. For example: If I had studied, I would have passed the exam. But, beacuse I didn't, I failed my exam. If my daughter hadn't eaten so much, she wouldn't have felt sick. I gave her medicine and a hug, so she would feel better. My brother wouldn't have been tired if he had gone to bed earlier. I scolded him, so he won't do that anymore. The most important thing is to do everything so we don't repeat our mistakes!
